Bollinger

Bollinger only produce vintage wines in exceptional years, and under certain guidelines. 1. The first fermentation of the wines takes place in oak casks 2. Some 15 Grand and Premier Crus from the Marne department go into the composition. 3. The blend consists of Pinot Noir (on average 65%) and chardonnay (35%) 4. La Grand Annee ages a minimum of five years (and often more than six) in the cellar under cork prior to shipping. The 1999 has an intensely rich and biscuity, yeasty nose. Powerful flavours of roasted nuts, black fruits and brioche, lovely balance with refreshing acidity
