As the name implies the wine is a deep golden colour. Rich aromas of cold tea-leaf, toffee, honey and citrus burst from the glass. The palate is intense and mouth filling. Malt and toffee combine with rancio characters providing a wine of power and complexity with a luscious yet clean finish. Blended for optimum flavour and balance prior to bottling, this wine will not improve with further cellaring and should ideally be enjoyed soon after opening.
