Bright amber gold with copper tints. Fresh raisin fruit backed by a hint of grape spirit and aged oak characters rise from the glass. The palate is luscious and lingering with plenty of sun-ripened raisin fruit, typical of muscat from the Rutherglen region. The acid balance and tannin from barrel ageing prevents the wine from being cloyingly sweet. Blended for optimum flavour and balance at the time of bottling, this wine will not improve with further cellaring and should ideally be enjoyed soon after opening.
