A good old-fashioned style of tawny port, in that it has very rich and pungent wood-matured characters. Some rancio showing on both the nose and the palate. The palate is rich and long on this soft, easy wine. If there's any fault here, you may say it's a little sweet whitish as opposed to being a totally tawny port style. This however is a fairly hypothetical argument because most of Australia's tawny ports are sweet whitish in style. The wood-matured characters do however show through and the wine has considerable flavour. - Len Evans
