The Annie’s Lane Cabernet Merlot is a vibrant deep red, showing youthful hues in the glass. Fragrant aromas of blackcurrant, violets and berries, violets, spice and blood plums. The elegant, tight palate shows fine excellent forest berry and tarry, deep cassis, blackcurrant, mulberry characters supported by crisp acidity on the long finish. A rich, soft generous palate is balanced with subtle integrated oak and fine grained tannins, leading tio an immensely satisfying, long and lingering fruit finish. It's a lamb and potatoes wine that calls for a brief airing and immediate drinking.
