As always, a core of intense flavours but with the richness resulting from 18 months of lees ageing in barriques. Quite distinct sweet herb and spice notes, interwoven with some dark berried characters resulting from the higher aromatics of the whole bunch fermented portion. Not a lolly-poppy sweetness but a deeper, more sophisticated perfume which helps keep the characteristic plushness that represents our style. Very reflective of the vintage conditions in that all the weight is there, but the elegance shines through.
