Powerfully ripened, this robust and tannic shiraz has a slightly stewed and meaty bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, cassis and dark plums with spicy undertones of cinnamon, star anise, Whitepepper and cedar/vanilla oak. Concentrated and quite astringent for this vineyard, its dark and mineral palate of deep plum and blackberry fruit finishes long and drying, with a sour-edged aspect and a hint of iodide.
